Allah the Almighty says in the Holy Qur’an
O ye who believe! fear Allah as He should be feared and let not death overtake you except when you are in a state of submission. (3:103)
I am deeply saddened to learn about the passing of my beloved Chacha Mahmood Ahmad Nasir Sahib. Mahmood Chacha of Mississauga Jama’at passed away peacefully in his home on December 26, 2023 around 7 AM.
My beloved Chacha was a devout Ahmadi who had deep love and affection for Khilafat. He belongs to the noble family of companions of Hazrat Masih Mau’ud (as), his great grandfather Hazrat Khan Mulk Sahib (ra) and his grandfather Hazrat Mulavi Abdur Rehman Sahib (ra) were the companions of Promised Messiah (as ), Hazrat Masih Mau’ud (as) included them in the list of 313 companions. Mahmood Ahmad Nasir Sahib's father Hafiz Mubarak Ahmad was a Waqif Zindagi and served as a professor at Jamia Ahmadiyya Pakistan.
My Chacha was blessed with a beautiful voice and passionately recited the Holy Quran. He has held an avid interest in poetry. Few of his poems were recited by members of the Jama’at.
My uncle has the honor to be a class fellow of Huzoor (aa) and I would like to quote an incident which he told us and one of his friends mentioned recently that during the visit of Syedna Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih V (may Allah be his Helper!) in 2012 to Canada one mulaqat of members of T.I. College in which my Chacha was invited, everyone was told to write their names and put on the chest so that Huzoor (aa) may see it, my uncle wrote his name in Urdu and went for Musafa (handshake), when Huzoor (aa) saw him, instead of Muasafa (handshake), Huzoor (aa) opened his arm and told my uncle to give a hug. My Uncle was very blessed and happy that he had this opportunity to witness the special love of Khilafat.
My Chacha was a remarkable person, and his presence brought warmth and joy to those around him. I fondly remember the times we shared with him, and it is evident that he leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories. Several of his friends came to his funeral, and many sent condolences to us. I can say with certainty that he lived his life in complete submission. He was very regular in prayers and Tahajjud Namaz.
