Blood does NOT make you family. We are related thru blind trust, friendship and loyalty. Pappa and his whole family empire (cuz ماشاءالله there are sooo many of them) have all been there in one form or another during both in happy and sad times and everything in between since 1975.
My heart aches today as I cannot physically be there to support his family in solidarity as they all bid their final farewell. RiP Pappa - till we meet again

We were shocked to hear this sad news. Innailillahe wa innaelahe rajeoon. When we first came to Montreal in 1990 we met Qureshi Saheb in the mosque. He was a very loving and caring person . Both Mr and Mrs Qureshi were very hospitable and especially very friendly with us. We often used to have get togethers along with respected late Barkaat Janjua Saheb. Such gatherings used to last until late midnights. We have many sweet memories for the time spent with him. May Allah elevate his status in Jannat and give solace to Mrs Qureshi and all family members. Ameen.

Qureshi Sahib was one of the most generous person I had the privilege to meet. Years ago my nephew came to Canada from Pakistan and landed in Montreal. He didn’t know English or even how to get to me in Calgary. It was winter and a Sikh found him on the street. My nephew only said he was Ahmadi, so the sikh called the number listed and Qureshi Sahib answered the phone and picked up my nephew at midnight, kept him for two days and bought him a bus ticket to Calgary. May God grant him a elevated status in heaven. My deepest condolences to his family.

Mannan uncle always had a special relationship with my family and I am sure everyone will think the same about their relation with the great man. I fondly remember how he drove all the way during the massive ice storm of 1998 in Montreal as his was one of the handful homes that did not loose power. Once there we found out that there were other families as well and we all stayed in his home until the power was restored few days later. He was such a good host.
He had a deep love of khalifat and would record all of Huzoor’s program on MTA and his study room was full of VHS cassette of those recordings.
May Allah bless his soul, elevate his station in havens and enable his progeny to carry on his good works.
