In Loving Memory of Respected Hamid Ullah Shah Sahib (1935 - 2025)

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of the Respected Hamid Ullah Shah Sahib of Brampton East Jama'at, Halqa Brampton Centre, on January 15, 2025, at 89.

Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raji'un – Surely to Allah, we belong and shall return to Him [2:157].

Hamid Ullah Shah Sahib came from a profoundly devoted Ahmadi family. His father, Abdul Majeed Qureshi Sahib, introduced Ahmadiyyat to his family. His mother, Aisha Shah Sahiba, was the daughter of Syed Fazal Shah Ahmadi, a companion of the Promised Messiah (as).

Hamid Ullah Shah Sahib's life was a testament to his faith, service, and unwavering dedication to Islam Ahmadiyyat. As a pioneer of the Canada Jama'at, he began his journey in Montreal before making Brampton his home. His passion for spreading the message of Islam Ahmadiyyat touched countless lives. He was privileged to introduce the message to hundreds of people, donating the first copy of the Holy Quran to the library in Ushuaia, the southernmost city in Argentina. He also carried the first copy of the Holy Quran and books on Ahmadiyyat to the North Pole, fulfilling the Promised Messiah's (as) revelation: "I shall cause thy message to reach the corners of the Earth."

A shining example of kindness and generosity, Hamid Ullah Shah Sahib embodied the spirit of selfless service. He was always ready to assist others, and his affection knew no bounds, extending to his family and the broader community.

May Allah grant Maghfirat to the deceased and elevate his spiritual status in heaven. Ameen! May Allah shower His mercy upon the grieving family, grant them solace and fortitude, and enable them to bear this loss with patience. Ameen!"
