Obituary of Mohammad Hanif

We are sad to announce the demise of Respected Mohammad Hanif Sahib of Innisfil Jamā‘at, who passed away on August 3, 2024 at the age of 84 years.

 

... Surely, to Allah we belong and to Him shall we return. [2:157]

 

By the grace of Allah, Respected Mohammad Hanif Sahib was a Wāqif Zindagī, a Mūṣī and had the honour of being an Aseer-e-Rahe-Maula in Saudi Arabia. Respected Mohammad Hanif Sahib was a zealous Dā‘īIlallāh. During his thirty years of residing in Abu Dhabi, he had the opportunity to start Friday Prayers in the local Jamā‘at and later on relocated to Canada on the instructions of Hadrat Khalifatul Masih IV (rh). He had the opportunity to serve in various departments in Canada including Sam‘ī wa Baṣarī, Tablīgh, and the Mission House. Respected Mohammad Hanif Sahib was a devout Ahmadi Muslim, regular in offering his Tahajjud and obligatory prayers and reading of the Holy Quran. He was a loyal servant of Khilafat and held immense love for Hadrat Khalifatul Masih (aba) and always instructed his family to retain these qualities. He used to watch MTA daily and never missed any Friday Sermon of Hadrat Khalifatul Masih (aba).

 

He was the son of Respected Mohammad Latif Sahib and the grandson of Respected Mohammad Shafi Sahib who accepted Ahmadiyyat in 1928 and was instructed by Hadrat Khalifatul Masih II (ra) to arrange plots for purchase in Sindh for the Jama`at.

 

May Allah grant Maghfirat to the deceased and elevate his spiritual status in the heaven! Amen!  May Allah also shower His mercy upon the grieved families and give them solace and fortitude and enable them to bear this loss with patience! Amen!
