Obituary of Syed Abdul Mannan Arif

We are sad to announce the demise of Respected Syed Abdul Mannan Arif Sahib of Durham East Jamā‘at, who passed away on February 29, 2024 at the age of 86 years.

... Surely, to Allah we belong and to Him shall we return. [2:157]

By the grace of Allah, Respected Syed Abdul Mannan Arif Sahib was a Mūṣī. Ahmadiyyat was introduced in his family by his father, Ḥāfiẓ Syed Abdul Hameed Sahib who converted along with fifty members of his family. Respected Abdul Mannan Sahib was a devout Ahmadi Muslim who was regular in his daily prayers and paid special attention to the Tahajjud prayer. He had the opportunity to serve as General Secretary and Finance Secretary in Durham and Markham Jamā‘at for several years. Respected Abdul Mannan Sahib possessed a caring and loving personality and was always ready to help those in need.
May Allah grant Maghfirat to the deceased and elevate his spiritual status in the heaven! Amen! May Allah also shower His mercy upon the grieved families and give them solace and fortitude and enable them to bear this loss with patience! Amen!
