Obituary of Anila Aqil

We are sad to announce the demise of Respected Anila Aqil Sahiba, wife of Respected Javaid Nazir Mangat Ṣāḥib of Vaughan Jamā‘at, who passed away on February 20, 2024 at the age of 45 years.

 

... Surely, to Allah we belong and to Him shall we return. [2:157]

 

Respected Anila Sahiba was a remarkable soul, whose unwavering hospitality and dignified demeanor touched the lives of all who crossed her path. She was undoubtedly a woman of excellent morals and dignity. She couldn't bear to witness others in distress and dedicated herself to easing the burdens of those around her. She had the honor of teaching the reading of the Holy Quran to more than 50 children. She served as Secretary Nasirat in her village Prem Kot and then continued in the same capacity in Rabwah, Halqa Darul Uloom. Constant and consistent in her observance of the daily prayers and Sunnah prayers, even in her last moments she made sure to establish them. In her final days when she was unable to speak even then she continued her teaching of the Holy Qur`an to her students.

Respected Anila Aqil Sahiba was the great-granddaughter of Hadrat Langar Khan Ṣāḥib, who was a companion of the Promised Messiah (as).  She was the daughter of Late Muhammad Aqil Hanjra Ṣāḥib and the daughter in law of Chaudhary Nazir Ahmad Mangat Ṣāḥib of Gujranwala.

May Allah grant Maghfirat to the deceased and elevate her spiritual status in the heaven! Amen!  May Allah also shower His mercy upon the grieved families and give them solace and fortitude and enable them to bear this loss with patience! Amen!
