Obituary of Khurshid Ahmed

We are sad to announce the demise of Respected Honorary Captain Peer Khurshid Ahmed Sahib of  Brampton East Jamā‘at – Halqa Castlemore, who passed away on January 10, 2024 at the age of 89 years.

Respected Peer Khurshid Ahmed Sahib belonged to the family of Hadrat Hafiz Roshan Ali Sahib (ra) and was the nephew and son-in-law of Hadrat Peer Faiz Ahmad Sahib (ra), both of whom were companions of the Promised Messiah (as). Despite familial opposition, he embraced Ahmadiyyat at the tender age of 15. Throughout his life, he served in various capacities, notably as Secretary Ḍiyāfat and Secretary Māl in Attock, Pakistan. He consistently stood at the forefront in making financial sacrifices and inculcated the importance and benefits of the same in his children. Peer Khurshid Ahmed Sahib had a melodious voice which he used to captivate audiences by recitation of poems of the Promised Messiah (as). His commitment to service extended beyond the community, as he consistently represented the Jama`at in Remembrance Day ceremonies showcasing his thirty six years of service in the Armed Forces.
