Obituary of Bashir Mahmood Cheema

We are sad to announce the demise of Respected Bashir Mahmood Cheema Sahib of Barrie South Jamā‘at, who passed away on December 28, 2023 at the age of 91 years.

 

... Surely, to Allah we belong and to Him shall we return. [2:157]

 

 

 

 

 

By the grace of Allah, Respected Bashir Mahmood Cheema Sahib was a Mūṣī who lived his life in complete service to Jamā‘at and Khilafat. He had the opportunity to serve as Qā’id Khuddāmul Ahmadiyya of Satellite Town – Rawalpindi and later in the finance department. After migration to Canada, he served in various capacities including as Ṣadr Halqa in Vaughan and played a vital role in the Baitul Islam Mosque project, working closely with Respected Maulana Naseem Mahdi Sahib. Respected Bashir Sahib was a learned and senior member of Dārul Qaḍā where he served for over a decade as Qāḍī and later as a member of the Qaḍā board, a post in which he continued to serve until his retirement due to illness.

   

May Allah grant Maghfirat to the deceased and elevate his spiritual status in the heaven! Amen!  May Allah also shower His mercy upon the grieved families and give them solace and fortitude and enable them to bear this loss with patience! Amen!
