Obituary of Shamim Akhtar Choudhry

We are sad to announce the demise of Respected Shamim Akhtar Choudhry Sahiba, wife of Respected Mohammad Ilyas Choudhry Sahib, of Vaughan Jama`at – Halqa Kleinburg, who passed away on December 2, 2023 at the age of 90 years.

Respected Shamim Akhtar Choudhry Sahiba was a devoted Ahmadī who had embraced Ahmadiyyat after nine years of studying the teachings of the True Islam and experiencing a dream. She was regular in her daily prayers and in offering the Tahajjud prayer. She harbored a profound love for Khilafat and played a pivotal role in instilling the teachings of Islam and loyalty to Khilafat in the upbringing of her children. Immersed in a deep passion for the Holy Quran, she memorized numerous parts and several chapters of the Holy Quran with Urdu translation, accomplishing this feat at the age of 70. Leading a humble existence, she consistently extended support to the underprivileged, assisting them with their necessities and contributing to the marriages of their children.

May Allah grant Maghfirat to the deceased and elevate her spiritual status in the heaven! Amen!  May Allah also shower His mercy upon the grieved families and give them solace and fortitude and enable them to bear this loss with patience! Amen!
