Obituary of Fazilat Masood Mohar

Please share a memory of Fazilat Masood to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Respected Fazilat Masood Mohar Sahiba was the great daughter-in-law of Hazrat Chaudhary Ghulam Muhammad Mohar Sahib (ra) of Pola Mohara, a companion of the Promised Messiah (as). She was the daughter of Maulwi Muhammad Ibrahim Waraich sahib who served as the Principal of Talimul Islam High School Ghatalian, Sialkot and served as a Superintendent of Jamia Ahmadiyya Mubashireen Rabwah.
By the Grace of Allah, she was a Mūṣiya and a role model for others. She was a very pious lady and always advised others to do good deeds. She had a deep love of Khilafat and taught her children and grandchildren to always be obedient to Nizam-e Khilafat. Even in the final days of her life, she continued to advise her children to remain steadfast and remain attached to Ahmadiyyat Islam.

The deceased had the honour to perform two Hajj in her life. She had a deep love of the Holy Quran and knew its translation by heart. She was well versed in Arabic and teaching the Holy Quran with translation to others was her passion. Fazilat Mohar Sahiba had three Master’s degrees including one in Arabic. She read Jama’at literature and books on a regular basis. She was very punctual in offering the five daily prayers and regular in offering Tahajjud prayers. Until her last breath, she continued to recite the Holy Quran and Durood Sharif and advised all of her children to recite Surah Al Mulk.
The deceased was very hospitable, soft hearted, and kind. She was very generous to the needy and orphans. She was exemplary in financial sacrifices and participated open heartedly in every single Tahrik in Canada and most recently for the Vaughan Tarbiyat Centre. During her lifetime, she donated generously for water-well projects in Africa and Pakistan from which countless people have benefitted. She also donated her house in Peace Village to the Jama’at. She always paid her lazmi and other chandajaat on a regular and monthly basis. Before going to the hospital, she made sure all of the chandajaat for this year were paid in full.

Thirty years ago, before migrating to Canada, she had a high profile government job in Pakistan and was a source of employment to hundreds of people. Many less fortunate Ahmadi families including widows also benefited from this.
May Allah grant maghfirat to the decreased and elevate her spiritual status in heaven, Amen! May Allah shower His mercy on the grieved family and give them solace and fortitude and enable them to bear this loss with patience. Amen!
She inculcated the spirit of serving the Jama`at in her children and that can be seen in them serving in various capacities in different levels. One granddaughter is serving in National Majlis Amila of Lajna Ima’illah Canada.
