Obituary of Amjad Malik

We are sad to announce the demise of Respected Amjad Malik Sahib of Toronto West Jama`at, Halqa Ahmadiyya Abode of Peace, who passed away on April 23, 2023 at the age of 82 years.

The following eulogy is from the family:

"It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mukaram Amjad Malik Sahib, a beloved member of the Toronto West Jama’at, Halqa Ahmadiyya Abode of Peace. On April 23rd, 2023, at the age of 82, he returned to his Creator. 

 

To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.

 

Amjad Malik Sahib was a dedicated member of the Ahmadiyya Abode of Peace Jama’at (AAP) since 2010 and served his Jama’at in various capacities. He was most notably known for his long-standing service as Muhasib AAP and, most recently, as Auditor for Majlis Ansarullah AAP.

 

His loveable personality, devout faith, and hospitality made him a cherished member of the community. He was always ready to serve others and was known for his Khidmat-e-Khalq.

 

Despite being terminally ill for several years, Amjad Malik Sahib never complained or expressed any ungratefulness. He bravely fought his illness with patience and steadfastness, setting an example for all those around him. He was a courageous man who held the honor of his religion in high regard and never hesitated to counter any negative comments against Islam and Ahmadiyyat.

 

Amjad Malik Sahib is survived by his wife, Amina Mussarat Sahiba, a daughter, three sons and sixteen grandchildren in Canada and Ireland. His eldest son, Mukarram Muhammad Afzal Malik, is currently serving in the Toronto West Jama’at as Muhasib and in the National Majlis Amila Ansarullah Canada as Additional Qa’id Umumi.  The youngest of the sons, Mukarram Muhammad Akbar Malik, is serving as Secretary Talim in the Toronto East Jama’at. His other son, Mukarram Muhammad Anwar Malik, has been serving as National President of Ireland Jama’at for a long time.

 

May Allah bless him with high status in Jannatul Firdaus and enable his offspring to excel in goodness and service to Ahmadiyyat."
