Obituary of Sheikh Khurshid Ahmad

We are sad to announce the demise of Respected Sheikh Khurshid Ahmad Sahib of Saskatoon South West Jama`at, who passed away on October 28, 2022 at the age of 74 years.

Respected Sheikh Khurshid Ahmad Sahib became a Musi at the young age of 18, by the grace of Allah. Sheikh Sahib was the great grandson of Hadrat Sheikh Barkat Ali (ra), a companion of the Promised Messiah (as). He had the honour of being one of the Aseeran-e-Rahe-Maula during the Khilafat Jubilee in 1989 when he put on the Kalma Badge.

 

Sheikh Sahib had an avid interest in cooking in the Langar Khana of the Promised Messiah (as) while serving in Germany, USA and Canada. He also had the honour of cooking for Hazrat Khalifatul Masih III (rh). In Canada he served as Incharge of Langar Khana # 2 for more than fifteen years during the occasions of Jalsa Salana.

 

He had a deep love of Khilafat and was regular in the daily prayers.

 

He is survived by his son Sheikh Dawood Khurshid Sahib, who had the honour of serving as incharge of the security escort of Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (aba) during his visit to Canada in 2016, another son Sheikh Ahmad Salman Sahib who is serving as a Missionary in the USA and a daughter Atia tul Manan Sahiba who is serving as Secretary Ta`limul Quran in Saskatton.

 

May Allah grant Maghfirat to the deceased and elevate his spiritual status in the heaven! Amen!  May Allah also shower His mercy upon the grieved families and give them solace and fortitude and enable them to bear this loss with patience! Amen!
