We are sad to announce the demise of Respected Basharat Ahmad Sahib of Durham Jama‘at, who passed away on September 22, 2020 at the age of 83 years.

By the grace of Allah, Respected Basharat Ahmad Sahib was a musi. He was the son of Respected Munshi Subhan Ali Sahib (late) who was a qatib of Alfazal newspaper. He served the Jama‘at in many capacities; he served as Sadr of Montreal and Durham Jama‘at for total of 27years and was currently serving the Jama’at as Regional Amir Northern Ontario Region. He was the brother of Abdus Salam Zafir Sahib of UK.

He had a deep love of Khilafat and was regular in his daily prayers. May Allah grant Maghfirat to the deceased and elevate his spiritual status in the heaven! Amen!  May Allah also shower His mercy upon the grieved families and give them solace and fortitude and enable them to bear this loss with patience! Amen!

In the prevailing situation, as per government regulations, please maintain at least 6ft. of physical distance and avoid hand shake and physical embracing.
