We are very sad to announce the demise of  Mohtram Mushtaq  Ahmad Shaique Sahib, son of of Hazrat Chaudhry  Wadahway Khan Sahib, a companion of  Promised Messiah (aa) of  Weston Jama’at, who passed  away on Monday  January 1 , 2018 age of  94 years,

Mushtaq Ahmad Shaique Sahib was  devoted Ahmadi and a Musi. He was the youngest surviving son of Hazrat Chaudhary Wadhaway Khan Sahib, a companion of Promised Messiah (aa). He was involved diligently with Jama’at activities and was steadfast in offering his daily prayers. Even at the age of 94 years, he was regular in attending Friday prayers at Mosque.

He taught at TI College, Qadian. Later he served in the Pakistan Air force where he retired as a Squadron Leader. After retirement, he spent his time studying literature, writing and authored series of books. At the age of 70, he did his Masters in English, Masters in History and Masters in Pak Studies.

Under the guidance of Khalifatul-Masih IV (ra), he started the statistics department at Sadr-Anjuman Ahmadiyya, Rabwah. He was also appointed as the Afsar Hifazat Khalifatul-Masih Ahmad IV (ra). Later in 1989, Khalifatul-Masih IV (ra) assigned him as the Secretary Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Centenary Program and was sent to Washington to work with (Late) Mirza Mian Muzaffar Ahmad Sahib, Amir Jama’at, USA.

After migrating to Calgary, Canada in year 2001, he remained active in Jama’at and community work and was well connected with other communities.

In more recent years, he was working on the English translation and the summary of Dur-e-Sameen. His recent work was in writing Tafseer-e-Quran and he was committed up until the day of his demise.

May Allah grant Maghfirat to the deceased and elevate his spiritual status in the heaven! Ameen!  May Allah also shower His mercy upon the grieved families and give them solace and fortitude and enable them to bear this loss with patience! Ameen!
