Obituary of Mohammed Sharif

 

We are sad to announce the demise of Respected Mohammed Sharif Sahib of Burlington Jamā‘at, who passed away on May 4, 2026 at the age of 91 years.

 

... Surely, to Allah we belong and to Him shall we return. [2:157]

 

Respected Ch. Mohammed Sharif Sahib was the son of Respected Ch. Hatim Ali Sahib, who had the honour of performing Bai‘at at the blessed hand of Syedna Hazrat Khalīfatul Masīh II (ra). He was a devoted Ahmadi who lived his life in servitude to Islam Ahmadiyyat. He offered his obligatory prayers regularly, observed Tahajjud, and remained engaged in the study of the Holy Qur’ān. He was blessed with the opportunity to live during the era of four Khulafā. It was his practice to begin his Jamā‘at work with prayer, seeking Allah’s guidance and blessings. He rendered dedicated service to the Jamā‘at, serving as President in Hamburg, Germany. After settling in Canada, he helped establish the Burlington Jamā‘at and served as its first President for about fifteen years, along with serving as Secretary Finance, a responsibility he carried out with great dedication until his days before meeting his Maker.

 

May Allah grant Maghfirat to the deceased and elevate his spiritual status in the heaven! Amen!  May Allah also shower His mercy upon the grieved families and give them solace and fortitude and enable them to bear this loss with patience! Amen!
