Obituary of Shafiq Ahmad

We are sad to announce the demise of Respected Shafiq Ahmad Sahib of Brampton East Jamā‘at – Halqa Clarkway, who passed away on May 3, 2026 at the age of 67 years.

Respected Shafiq Ahmad Sahib maintained a deep and sincere connection with Allāh the Almighty, placing his faith at the center of all aspects of his life. He was regular in offering Maghrib and ‘Ishā’ prayers in congregation, observed Tahajjud, and was blessed with the opportunity to lead Tarāwīḥ prayers during the blessed month of Ramaḍān. He also recited the Holy Qur’ān regularly and held a strong attachment to its teachings. He served the Jamā‘at with great dedication in various capacities, including as Local Secretary Ta‘līm-ul-Qur’ān and Waqf-e-‘Arḍī for several years, and was also afforded the opportunity to serve as Secretary Additional Māl. He placed great importance on the spirit of financial sacrifice and fulfilled it with sincerity and devotion.He was known for his warm, hospitable, and charitable nature, always serving guests with great care and frequently inviting others to his home. His kindness and generosity were evident in all his dealings, and he possessed a remarkable ability to foster unity and maintain strong bonds within the community.

 

His wife, Respected Mansoora Shafiq Ṣāḥiba, belongs to the family of Maulānā Dost Muḥammad Shāhid Ṣāḥib

 

     May Allah grant Maghfirat to the deceased and elevate his spiritual status in the heaven! Amen!  May Allah also shower His mercy upon the grieved families and give them solace and

     fortitude and enable them to bear this loss with patience! Amen!
