Obituary of Sayyed Hidayatullah Hadi

We are sad to announce the demise of Respected Sayyed Hidayatullah Hadi Sahib of Vaughan Jamā‘at – Halqa Vaughan North, who passed away on April 25, 2026 at the age of 80 years.

Respected Sayyed Hidayatullah Hadi Sahib was a devoted Mūsī, a sincere and pioneer servant of the Jamā‘at. He served with distinction as the editor of the Ahmadiyya Gazette Canada Urdu from 1988, rendering valuable service.He was a man of deep spirituality and righteousness. Alongside offering his obligatory prayers in the mosque, he observed Tahajjud daily with consistency and devotion and remained deeply engaged in the study of the Holy Qur’ān. He possessed profound love for Khilāfat and was exceptionally regular in writing letters to Syedna Ḥaḍrat Khalīfatul Masīḥ (aba). Allāh the Almighty blessed him with the opportunity to live in the blessed era of four Khulafā’. It was his habit to begin his daily Jamā‘at work at the computer with prayer, humbly seeking Allāh’s guidance and blessings.

As an academic and literary personality, he delivered lectures on research methodology at the Jamia Ahmadiyya institutions in Canada, Rabwah, and Qadian. His scholarly articles were published in community journals in London, Rabwah, the United States, and Canada. He also served on the Qaḍā’ Board and contributed to the history of Jamā‘at Ahmadiyya Canada. He was known for his compassionate nature, regularly visiting patients, offering condolences to bereaved families, and praying for others quietly and sincerely. Even after retirement, he continued to volunteer daily at Baitul Islam Mission House.

 

May Allah grant Maghfirat to the deceased and elevate his spiritual status in the heaven! Amen!  May Allah also shower His mercy upon the grieved families and give them solace and fortitude and enable them to bear this loss with patience! Amen!
