Obituary of Ijaz Ahmed Minhas
With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Colonel (Retd.) Ijaz Ahmed Minhas Sahib, who departed this world in Rawalpindi on January 28, 2026.
Innā lillāhi wa innā ilaihi rāji‘ūn.
Colonel Ijaz Ahmed Minhas Sahib was a devoted and sincere member of Jama‘at-e-Ahmadiyya, whose life was marked by faith, discipline, and lifelong service. He had the honour of serving the Jama‘at in several capacities, including as Naib Ameer Rawalpindi, President of IAAAE, and member of the Local Shura, where he rendered valuable services with dedication and humility.
Alongside his Jama‘at service, he proudly served in the Pakistan Army, participating in both the 1965 and 1971 wars, fulfilling his duties with courage, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility.
He was known for his principled character, loyalty, and quiet commitment to service. His life reflected a balance of devotion to faith, service to the Jama‘at, and duty to his country. He leaves behind a legacy of sincerity, honour, and steadfastness.
He is survived by:

Son: Asif Minhas (Canada)
Son: Umer Minhas (Pakistan)
May Allah the Almighty grant him His forgiveness and mercy, elevate his station, and grant patience and steadfastness to the bereaved family. Āmīn.
