Obituary of Salma Nasir

We are sad to announce the demise of Respected Salma Nasir Sahiba, wife of (late) Nasir Shahid Sahib of Pakistan Jamā‘at, who passed away on January 19, 2026 at the age of 80 years.

 

... Surely, to Allah we belong and to Him shall we return. [2:157]

 

Salma Nasir - a woman of rare kindness, quiet strength, and extraordinary depth.

She was remarkable in every role she carried: a devoted and loving mother, a respectful daughter, a compassionate sister, and a faithful and devoted wife. She fulfilled each responsibility with dignity, patience, and grace, earning the love and respect of all who knew her.

She was a devoted member of Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya, whose life was guided by faith and service. Through her dedication, she contributed deeply both through her actions and her words. Among her books were Taareekh Lajna Lahore, Bahre Irfan, Tehdees-e-Naimat, Zor-e-Dua Dekho To, and many more, leaving behind a lasting spiritual and literary legacy. 

 

May Allah grant Maghfirat to the deceased and elevate her spiritual status in the heaven! Amen!  May Allah also shower His mercy upon the grieved families and give them solace and fortitude and enable them to bear this loss with patience! Amen!
