Obituary of Habib-ur-Rehman Sheikh

We are sad to announce the demise of Respected Sheikh Habib ur Rehman Sahib, of  Mississauga Jamā‘at – Halqa Mississauga East, who passed away on November 13, 2025 at the age of 83 years.

Respected Sheikh Habib ur Rehman Sahib was the grandson of Hazrat Sheikh Fazal Ilahi (ra) of Hyderabad Deccan who was a companion of the Promised Messiah (as), about whom Syedna Hazrat Musleh Maud (ra) said, “One of Jamaat’s strong pillars has fallen today” upon his demise. He was a loving father and grandfather, and Alhamdulillah, all his children are serving the Jamaat in their own capacities. He was known for his humility, kindness, and warm-hearted nature. Despite his illness, he regularly listened to the Friday Sermon and could instantly recognize the blessed voice of Huzoor (aa). His hospitality, gentle character, and deep love for poetry are fondly remembered by all who knew him. He served faithfully as Qa’id Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Mughalpura Majlis Lahore for five years and continued to serve the Jamaat in various departments for as long as his health permitted. Even after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, his dedication to faith did not waver. He remained steadfast in offering prayers and continuously reminded his children to stay connected with Allah and with Khilafat.  

 

May Allah grant Maghfirat to the deceased and elevate his spiritual status in heaven! Amen!  May Allah also shower His mercy upon the grieved families and give them solace and fortitude and enable them to bear this loss with patience! Amen!
