Obituary of Mazhar Ali Zuberi

We are sad to announce the demise of Respected Mazhar Ali Zuberi Sahib of Brampton East Jamā‘at – Halqa Springdale East, who passed away on September 5, 2025 at the age of 94 years.

Respected Mazhar Ali Zuberi Sahib was a Mūṣī and a devoted Ahmadi Muslim. He was affectionately known as “Nayaab” among his friends. He was born in Uttar Pradesh, India, and spent his early years in Qadian and Rabwah. He often cherished memories of his childhood, recalling with reverence his walks with Hazrat Amma Jaan (ra) and other esteemed companions of the Promised Messiah (as). Among the honours of his life, he shared the unforgettable experience of being present in Hoshiarpur in 1944, when Hazrat Khalifatul Masih II (ra) made the historic announcement affirming his status as Musleh Maud.

 

As a pioneer member of Jama’at Canada, he rendered dedicated service in various local Jama’at roles as well as at Jalsa Salana. Blessed with a captivating voice, Zuberi Sahib frequently recited the Holy Qur’an and Nazms at Jama’at gatherings, leaving lasting impressions on those who heard him. During the blessed month of Ramadan, the prayer centres would fill with people who came especially to join him in Taraweeh. His heartfelt recitation of the Holy Qur’an touched hearts and drew worshippers of all ages. Zuberi Sahib will always be remembered for his kindness, humility, and gentle nature. He leaves behind a legacy of love and faith through his children, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

 

May Allah grant Maghfirat to the deceased and elevate his spiritual status in the heaven! Amen!  May Allah also shower His mercy upon the grieved families and give them solace and fortitude and enable them to bear this loss with patience! Amen!
