Obituary of Naseer Ahmad

We are sad to announce the demise of Respected Naseer Ahmad Sahib of Peace Village Jamā‘at – Halqa Center East, who passed away on August 30, 2025 at the age of 89 years.

Respected Naseer Ahmad Sahib was a Mūṣī and the son of Respected Munshi Subhan Ali Sahib, who served as a Kaatib for Al Fazal and other jama’at journals. From an early age, Naseer Sahib was blessed with exceptional intelligence and a thirst for knowledge. He had an exceptional educational career and obtained Masters in 5 disciplines. He served 37 years at the Punjab University Library in Lahore, rising to Chief Librarian in his final decade. Despite a difficult anti-Ahmadiyya environment, he worked with resilience, assisting countless Jama’at historians, scholars, missionaries, and students in their research, including the 1974 National Assembly proceedings. He had the opportunity to serve the Jamā‘at in Pakistan (finance department) and lived in the USA and Canada. Naseer Ahmad Sahib will be remembered for his deep love of Allah, the Holy Qur’an, the Prophets (peace be upon them), Khilafat, the Jama’at, and humanity at large. He exemplified humility, patience, and steadfast in service for the sake of Allah. His life was one of constant worship, nawafil, and zikr-e-Ilahi. He was the brother of Respected Abdus Salam Zafir Sahib who served as Principal Jamia Ahmadiyya UK.

May Allah grant Maghfirat to the deceased and elevate his spiritual status in the heaven! Amen!  May Allah also shower His mercy upon the grieved families and give them solace and fortitude and enable them to bear this loss with patience! Amen!
