Obituary of Nasir Jawaid Butt

We are sad to announce the demise of Respected Nasir Jawaid Butt Sahib of Toronto West Jamā‘at – Halqa Ahmadiyya Abode of Peace, who passed away on July 17, 2025 at the age of 67 years.

Respected Nasir Javed Butt Sahib accepted Ahmadiyyat in 2002 during the blessed Khilafat of Syedna Hazrat Khalifatul Masih IV (rh). Despite facing opposition and persecution from non-Ahmadi family members and friends, he remained firm and content in his faith. He was extremely hospitable and had the honour of serving various food items to Khulafa-e-Ahmadiyyat. He also had the opportunity to serve as Secretary Ḍiyāfat of Ahmadiyya Abode of Peace. He was blessed to perform Hajj and Umrah four times. He was very regular in offering prayers in congregation and had a deep love for the recitation of the Holy Qur’an. He held special love and respect for all missionaries and Wāqifīn Zindagī. His cheerful nature touched the hearts of many. He was generous, always helping the poor, and spent his wealth in the way of Allah. A courageous Dā‘īIlallāh, he was always engaged in preaching to his non-Ahmadi family members and friends with great passion.

May Allah grant Maghfirat to the deceased and elevate his spiritual status in the heaven! Amen!  May Allah also shower His mercy upon the grieved families and give them solace and fortitude and enable them to bear this loss with patience! Amen!
