Obituary of Ghalib Ahmad

We are sad to announce the demise of Respected Ghalib Ahmad Sahib of Vaughan Jamā‘at – Halqa Maple, who passed away on June 17, 2025 at the age of 48 years.

Respected Ghalib Ahmad Sahib was a devoted and sincere Ahmadi Muslim whose life was deeply rooted in his love for Allah and unwavering loyalty to Khilafat. He was a man of profound faith, humility, and quiet strength. He listened attentively to all the sermons of Syedna Hadrat Khalifatul Masih V (aba), and was always among the first to respond with heartfelt Labaik to every call and instruction from the Khalifa of the time.

His connection to Khilafat was the guiding light of his soul—a spiritual compass that shaped every aspect of his life. He was known to travel long distances simply for the opportunity to offer prayers behind Huzoor, even if it meant flying across countries for just a single Namaz. Such was the depth of his love and reverence. One of the greatest honours of his life was being entrusted with the duty of serving as Huzoor’s driver during Huzoor’s visits to Canada—a role he fulfilled with immense humility, reverence, and gratitude, seeing it as a sacred trust rather than a mere responsibility.

Respected Ghalib Ahmad Sahib was a man of remarkable character—dependable, selfless, and ever ready to assist anyone in need without seeking recognition or praise. He had a natural ability to uplift others through his calm presence, sincere concern, and problem-solving spirit. Within the Jama’at, he was the person people turned to when something needed to be done quietly and efficiently—he was the backbone behind many efforts, never putting himself forward, yet always showing up when it mattered most.

Beyond his public service, he was a deeply devoted family man. He lovingly devoted years of his life to caring for his ailing mother and stood firmly by his father’s side during those difficult times. The bond he shared with his siblings—Kashif, Fateh, and Mansoora—was one of strength, love, and mutual support, especially during those testing days. As a father, he was a gentle guide, a compassionate friend, and a steady source of support for his children

Respected Ghalib Sahib leaves behind a legacy of devotion, humility, and service—a life that will continue to inspire all those who knew him. His passing has left a deep void, but his memory, example, and silent sacrifices will continue to live on in the hearts of his loved ones and the Jama’at he served so loyally.

May Allah Almighty grant Maghfirat to the deceased and elevate his spiritual status in the highest ranks of Paradise. Ameen.
May Allah shower His special mercy upon the bereaved family, grant them strength and patience, and enable them to bear this great loss with fortitude. Ameen.
