Obituary of Abdul Majid Yamin

We are sad to announce the demise of Respected Abdul Majid Yamin Sahib of Toronto West Jamā‘at – Halqa Rexdale North, who passed away on June 16, 2025 at the age of 87 years.

By the grace of Allah, Respected Abdul Majid Yamin Sahib was a Mūṣī. He was a courageous, devout, and learned Ahmadi who studied deeply and conducted thorough research before accepting Ahmadiyyat in his early 30s after discussions with Maulana Ghulam Ahmad Sahib Farukh. He had the blessing of rebuilding a mosque in his ancestral village in Shahjahanpur, which included a guest house, Lajna hall and accommodation for missionaries. He was a humble man with a deep passion for Jamaat literature and possessed remarkable knowledge. He was known for his unwavering loyalty to Khilafat and his profound respect for Jamaat office bearers. He instilled in his children the values of prayer, hospitality, and service to faith. His understanding of Ahmadiyyat was so firm and his conviction so strong that no non-Ahmadi ever dared to challenge or debate him on matters of faith.

 

May Allah grant Maghfirat to the deceased and elevate his/her spiritual status in the heaven! Amen!  May Allah also shower His mercy upon the grieved families and give them solace and fortitude and enable them to bear this loss with patience! Amen!
