 Merey Abu jesa koi nahin
Pyarey Abu
You taught us to be grateful for every little thing in life, even in the toughest years of your life, you gave your family only happiness never let us feel any kind of sorrow. You came miles away from your own family to give your children a better life and opportunity.
Your selfishness, humbleness and kindness attracted so many people to become our family over the last 53 years. Your smile and laughter was contagious. Your sunglassses and Jinnah cap were your signature.
Your life partner, my beloved Ami Jan was your strength, together you both could conquer anything. Your home was open to everyone and there was always a warm meal, and prayers. You were so selfless and warm always ready to help anyone in need. The entire community of Brantford knew your name.
Your children and grandchildren were your life. They could bring a smile to your face no matter how down you were feeling. All of them held a special place in your heart. Allah sub ko Sabr dey.
You spent your time devout to prayers, Allah and the jamaat, now it was time to return to Allah almighty.
You will be missed dearly Abu.
Merey Abu jesey koi nahin.
May Allah grant you highest rank in Jannaah!
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayi raji’un

My beloved Habib bhai jaan
He was a truly loving soul who treated me as his own younger sister from the earliest days of my childhood. Both Bhai Jaan and Baji have consistently stood by me and my family, offering unwavering support and affection. Following the passing of my parents, they stepped in with heartfelt love and care, filling that profound void with their presence.
Bhai Jaan is deeply cherished by our entire family for his gentle spirit, generous heart, and unwavering kindness. His warmth, sense of humour, and ever-present smile will be fondly remembered and dearly missed.
He is now reunited with my beloved sister. May Allah, in His infinite mercy, elevate their ranks in Jannah and grant strength, comfort, and peace to their children. Ameen.

Q: How did you meet Habib-ur-Rehman?
A: REMEMBERING HABIB UNCLE
From the moment I arrived in Canada, Habib uncle was there—a welcoming presence, a guiding hand. I first met him through “Habiba Bahan ji and Imtiaz Sain”, and from that day forward, he became an integral part of my journey. What started as a simple introduction soon blossomed into a profound friendship. Habib uncle was more than a mentor; he was a beacon of kindness, always ready with a warm smile and a reassuring word. His generosity knew no bounds, lifting those around him with quiet strength and unwavering compassion. But it wasn’t just him—his entire family became an inspiration for me, radiating warmth and wisdom in every interaction. His laughter was contagious, his wisdom immeasurable. To know him was to witness a true human being—one who embodied the very essence of selflessness and grace. His legacy lives on, not just in memories, but in the countless lives he touched with his kindness.

اناللہ واناالیہ راجعون
I came to Kitchener Canada in 1992 and attended the WRC which was held in Brantford, Habib sb along with his family’s selfless service humility, welcoming the guests with open arms. In those times imagine preparing food at home, no disposable options so serving 300 plus guests then cleaning those dishes, you name it, this is one aspect let alone other things advertising, venue preparations, dignitaries, press etc…. Habib sb did service for WRC in Brantford for 20 years may Allah elevate his status in heaven amen

Khalu Jaan was a wonderful person with great sense of humour. I developed a strong bond with him since my childhood through exchanging jokes. We used to exchange jokes over phone. Everytime he spoke to me, he would say "Mahwish aik joke tu suna do". He would always laugh so hard at my jokes. Our memories are countless for this space.
Every month of July, our whole family would wait for him to visit us in England. Unfortunately, our Jalsas wont be same anymore without him. But he will always remain in our hearts and prayers.
He was a true example of humble humility and kindness. May Allah elevate Khalu Jaan's ranks and give all his loved ones solace.
Inna lillah he wa inna alehe rajion.

Personal Tribute to Respected Habib-ur-Rehman Hafiz-Zadeh Sahib
By Habib Tariq
Innā lillāhi wa innā ilayhi rājiʿūn – Surely to Allah we belong and to Him shall we return. [Al-Baqarah 2:156]
It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of Respected Habib-ur-Rehman Hafiz-Zadeh Sahib of Brantford Jama‘at, whom I had the honour of meeting nearly 50 years ago. From that very first encounter, I found him to be a truly humble, down-to-earth, and pious man. Always adorned with a warm, welcoming smile, he greeted every guest with love and unmatched hospitality — a quality that left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He was a sincere and devoted servant of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, loyal to Khilafat, and unwavering in his dedication to prayer, Tabligh, and community service. Before I moved to the United States, I had the privilege of attending a World Religions Conference (WRC) gathering — a cause that he pioneered with immense passion and organizational excellence. His efforts to promote interfaith dialogue and mutual understanding were a reflection of his noble character and spiritual depth.
Alhamdulillah, the qualities of this righteous man have been beautifully inherited by his children, who continue to reflect his humility, sincerity, and love for Jama’at. This is a sign of Sadaqah Jāriyah (ongoing charity) — his legacy of piety and service living on through his progeny.
May Allah the Almighty grant him an exalted place in Jannat-ul-Firdaus. May He accept his lifelong service in His cause, forgive any shortcomings, and envelope him in His infinite mercy. May Allah also bless his children and descendants with steadfastness in faith, love for Khilafat, and success in both this life and the Hereafter. May they be a continual source of blessings for him and a shining example for others. Āmīn. Summa Āmīn.
With heartfelt prayers,
Habib Ullah Tariq
