Obituary of Sadiq Muhammad

بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Respected Sadiq Muhammad Sahib, son of Maulvi Saleh Muhammad Sahib (Late) (Missionary Ghana), from Ottawa West Jama’at. He passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at the age of 94.

إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

“Surely, to Allah we belong, and to Him shall we return.”

Sadiq Muhammad Sahib was the grandson of Mian Fazal Muhammad Sahib (RA) of Harsian, a devoted companion of the Promised Messiah (AS). He dedicated his life to education and service for the Jama’at, teaching and nurturing generations of students.

● He served as a teacher at Nusrat Jehan Academy from 1991 to 2001.

● From 1971 to 1986, he taught at Ahmadiyya Muslim Secondary Schools in Sierra Leone and Nigeria.

He was very punctual in his Salat, devoted to the Quran, always paid Chanda on time, had deep love of Khilafat and had a smiling nature. He was a Musi. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Amatur Rashid Sadiq Sahiba, daughter of Abdul Rahim Dayaanut Darvesh, and his loving family:

● Two sons:

○ Dr. Sajid Ahmed Sahib (Ottawa West)

○ Arif Ahmad Sahib (Brantford)

● Five daughters:

○ Amtul Naseer Islam Sahiba (Ottawa West, wife of Late Muhammad Tariq Islam Sahib, Missionary Eastern Canada)

○ Amtul Hafeez Sahiba (Brampton West Caledon, wife of Abdul Sami Tahir Sahib)

○ Amtul Haye Sahiba (Pakistan, wife of Anwar Safi Sahib)

○ Amtul Wadood Sahiba (Pakistan, wife of Zahir Ahmed Khokar Sahib, Missionary Allama Iqbal Town)

○ Amtul Qudoos Sahiba (Edmonton, wife of Idrees Mian Sahib)

He is also survived by 26 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. May Allah elevate his status in Jannah, grant him maghfirah, and bless his family with patience and strength. Ameen.
