Obituary of Abdul Majeed Tahir

Announcement - Funeral Prayer

We are sad to announce the demise of Respected Abdul Majeed Tahir Lailpuri Sahib of Peace Village Jamā‘at – Halqa East, who passed away on February 4, 2025 at the age of 79 years.

 

... Surely, to Allah we belong and to Him shall we return. [2:157]

 

By the grace of Allah, Respected Abdul Majeed Tahir Sahib was a Mūṣī. He was regular in offering of his daily prayers paid special attention to the Tahajjud prayer. He listened regularly to all addresses and Friday Sermons of Syedna Hadrat Khalifatul Masih V (aba) and was at the forefront in contributions to financial sacrifice. Respected Abdul Majeed Tahir Sahib had the opportunity to serve the Jamā‘at for over forty-one years in Wakālat Dīwān, Wakālat Māl Thānī and also was blessed to serve in the Mujahid force from 1971 to 1973. He was a kind-hearted and charitable soul who held great pain for the needs of others and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. He was amicable, courteous, known for his playful nature and most importantly was always content with Allah’s will.

 

His eldest son, Respected Abdul Ghaffar Sahib is a Wāqif Zindagī and serving in Jamia Ahmadiyya Germany, one of his grandson Respected Faran Tariq Sahib, and one granddaughter are Ḥāfiẓ Quran.

 

May Allah grant Maghfirat to the deceased and elevate his spiritual status in the heaven! Amen!  May Allah also shower His mercy upon the grieved families and give them solace and fortitude and enable them to bear this loss with patience! Amen!
